The Joe Andruzzi Foundation’s Game Changer Awards were born during the challenges of 2020, when it became clear that no single person or organization alone could be recognized for carrying the Foundation forward. Instead, it was the collective strength of sponsors, donors, volunteers, and partners that sustained JAF’s mission through unprecedented times. What began as a moment of resilience has now become a cherished annual tradition at the JAF Gala—celebrating those whose impact, generosity, and spirit allow the Foundation to meet the needs of cancer patients and their families year after year.

Game Changers are members of the JAF community who truly make a difference—whether through consistent, long-term dedication or extraordinary, above-and-beyond action in a pivotal moment. They may be sponsors, donors, volunteers, board or committee members, athletes, healthcare professionals, patients, or event hosts. No matter their role, Game Changers embody the heart of JAF: they inspire, lift up others, and create meaningful change that helps families navigate the financial and emotional burdens of cancer. Their contributions are a powerful reminder that JAF’s mission is only possible because of people like them.

This year's honorees live up to the title and we are so proud to recognize the following individuals and organization for their valued contributions:

The 2025 Game Changer honorees are:
Ronny Mosston, former JAF board member, donor, and cancer survivor, recognized for her dedication and leadership to the mission and providing executive counsel; Tony Medeiros, JAF’s very first Bridge Builder, a loyal volunteer and selfless advocate; Joe DiPietro, Owner and Founder of REVISE/DiPietro Home Energy, whose company REVISE developed the branded ‘pink truck’ giveback program along with his wife, a cancer survivor. Since 2021, DiPietro and REVISE have given more than $150,000 in support for New England cancer patients; Susan Hurley, founder of Charity Teams, who has helped hundreds of JAF athletes accomplish their goals and dreams, and is now courageously battling her own cancer diagnosis; and Andrew Vrees with WCVB Channel 5, an incredible media partner throughout the years, the station has lent its on-air talent to a myriad of JAF events and has helped to give a voice to JAF’s mission through impactful storytelling.
